When I've had a rough day

I come home and you're there

Telling me how proud of me you are

Giving me tender kisses

Treating me to whatever I want for dinner

Even when it's something you hate. 

You build up my confidence 

As you tell me

"You like to do the impossible by breakfast."

Making me feel invincible. 

Then you take my hand

Lead me to the bedroom

And you bring me to my knees 

As you give me all of you

Whispering in my ear 

"Let me take your mind off of your day."

And you do,

In every way that counts

I lose myself to you

Just the cure I need.

When I'm curled up

Safe inside your arms

You ask me

With your lips on my neck

"How was your day?"

I smile, turning to face you

Resting my palm to your cheek

My lips finding yours once more

As I answer you:

"It was good."
