I'm no Cinderella,
I'll only break your heart.
I used to want the fairytale,
But then life happened.
So don't tell me you're Prince Charming,
Because I'll leave long before midnight.

I have a splintered soul
Combined with a wanderlust
For people and places I've yet to meet.
Don't give me sweet and soft,
Because nothing and no one I've met yet
Has been enough to hold me.

I'm looking to love a warrior
With a poet's heart.
To laugh with friends that understand,
Respect,
And aren't afraid
Of the venom in my veins.
And all of this found
Somewhere nature runs free.
So believe me when I say,
Though I may seem soft and innocent,
