Christmas Trees

The lights shown in her eyes,
Christmas dancing across her face
As she smiled over her shoulder at him.
A snowflake fell into her hair,
And it took everything he had
Not to brush it away,
Just as an excuse to touch her.

Because here,
In this moment,
As they stood in the snow
While she found the perfect tree,
He found the perfect woman.
And while she was busy looking at trees,
He was busy looking at her,
Wondering how he'd missed it before-
She was his everything.
